The Development of Solutions Scholarship program is designed for international students from Africa, India or one of the selected Commonwealth countries who are pursuing a Masters degree from the University of Nottingham and wish to make a difference in the development of their country of origin.

Africa (all nations), Anguilla, Antigua and Barbuda, Bangladesh, Barbados, Belize, Bermuda, British Virgin Islands, Brunei, Cayman Islands, Dominica, Falkland Islands, Fiji, Gibraltar, Grenada, Guyana, India, Jamaica, Kiribati, Malaysia, Maldives, Montserrat, Nauru, Nepal, Pakistan, Papua New Guinea, Pitcairn Islands, Samoa, Solomon Islands, Sri Lanka, St Helena, St Kitts and Nevis, St Lucia, St Vincent and the Grenadines, Tonga, Trinidad and Tobago, Tristan da Cunha, Turks and Caicos Islands, Tuvalu and Vanuatu.

Scholarship Value/Inclusions:

50-100% of the tuition fees

Eligibility:

To apply for this scholarship, you must:

  • be a resident of Africa, India or one of the selected Commonwealth countries (listed above).
  • be classified as an international student for payment purposes
  • have an offer to start a full-time MSc (including MRes) at the University of Nottingham in the UK in October 2022 within the Faculty of Engineering, Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, Faculty of Science or the Faculty of Social Sciences

You must not be currently a student or graduate of the University of Nottingham or have previously studied outside your home country. Preference will be given to those who have never studied outside their country of origin. Students currently studying in the UK are not eligible to apply.

Application Instructions:

Applicants must first have applied for and received an offer for a full-time MSc course (including MRes) at the University of Nottingham before they can apply for the scholarship. You can apply through the scholarship section of the university’s application system, MyNottingham. The deadline for entries is Friday 20 May 2022 (24:00 UK time).
